Signs of Spring

If you’re like me, then you may find that you don’t exactly have enough time or energy to fit all the Fall goodness into every day that you’d like to.

A Nest For All Seasons., and it’s the perfect book to dive into at exactly this time of year when spring is just about to start springing and we’re all starting to really enjoy all the little things that make spending time in nature so special.. She sent me an advance copy of the book so I could give you all a little sneak peek and share it with you if I liked it, which of course I did!

Signs of Spring

I really love how Crafting With Nature is sort of half garden book and half crafting book. She talks about different easy ways to grow your own crafting supplies, and what to make with the things you’ve grown, but there are also sections about gathering things from nature and even the grocery store for making your nature-inspired crafts!I love any book, blog, or other publication, where I can read it and learn something that I can put to use immediately!.

Signs of Spring

Along with the book, Amy sent me some extra little goodies to get me started on some of the projects like some fabric scraps, some beet seeds, and some dried lavender.I can’t wait to spend a nice sunny few hours out on the deck playing around with some of these projects during naptime!.

Signs of Spring

Some of the projects that stood out to me as things that I definitely want to try are the Spiced Chai Sugar Hand Scrub, The DIY Coconut Oil (seriously!

), and the Frozen Rosemary, Cranberry, and Beet Juice Christmas Wreath. Our garage is a disaster zone unlike you’ve ever seen.

The tools and hardware and junk are all piled together in giant heaps on top of the various work benches. So finding anything is nearly impossible, if you can even get to the work benches past the bikes, several ride-on lawn mowers, stacks of flooring waiting to be installed and power tools all over the floor.

It’s bad.. There’s a little skinny hard-to-get-to cupboard in the house that I was using, but it wasn’t working out so well, and my “house tools” kept mysteriously ending up back in the garage..I found this old shoe rack in the basement, and you might have one just like it lurking around somewhere.
